How to Apply for UPSC IFS Mains 2024
- Registration: Start with the mandatory One Time Registration (OTR) on the UPSC website.
- Photo Requirements: The candidate’s photograph should be recent (not older than 10 days), with their name and the date on the photo. A white background is preferred.
- OBC Certificate: Should be issued after 1 April 2023.
- Application Window: The form is available from 14 February 2024 to 6 March 2024.
- Document Preparation: Ensure all required documents, including eligibility proof, ID, and address, are ready in scanned form.
- Final Review: Before submission, verify each section carefully and preview the application.

Selection Process for UPSC IFS Mains 2024
- Preliminary Exam: The UPSC Prelims is a qualifying stage consisting of objective-type questions. Candidates who pass the prelims move on to the Mains exam.
- Mains Exam: The IAS and IFS Mains exams assess candidates on a variety of subjects through descriptive questions. Successful candidates will proceed to the interview round.
- Interview Round: The final stage involves a personality test and interview.
